Hi, my name is Ruth and I thought you would like to know a little about me. I am 48 (Jan 2004), separated and the mother of three beautiful children Trent, Kyle and Amber.
Trent left us for a much better place on Saturday 19th May, 2001. Please take the time to visit his memorial page. The link can be found on the home page.
I am 5ft 2" tall (yeah a real shortie) with black hair (not my natural colour). I was born and raised in Sydney Australia and still live there.
BTW the pic was taken quite a few years back by a glamour photographer.
I am a Community Development Worker (Social Welfare), working with disadvantaged people from all walks of life, whether they be financially disadvantaged down to being socially and geographically disadvantaged. In my job I organise various activities for people in the area I work in including playgroups, craft groups and one of my biggest events each year is a Multicultural Arts Festival, where we provide non stop entertainment from different cultural backgrounds as well as fun activities for people of all ages and have a lot of information tables letting people know of the various organisations in the area to help them.
I have worked in this field now since 1982 (the first 91/2 of those years being voluntary) and still love doing what I do.
My main interest of late is my computer. I started using computers approx 4 years ago and have progressed from there. I am able to build my own but the main thing I enjoy is building web pages etc. I also enjoy chatting on ICQ and other chat programs, I have met many good friends this way.
Communication is very important to me and I enjoy being able to enter into discussions even if I don't totally agree with the other person. I respect another's right to think differently to what I do.
I enjoy most kinds of music although I must admit that Heavy Metal is not one of them.
Apart from my computer as I talked about earlier I enjoy doing Folk Art and making various other craft items. If you would like to see some of the things I have made please go to my Folk Art page. |
